I thought this style was really innovative, really cool. Thanks Efe for posting the link to this video.
Oh this is cute!! I may try to do this, I am continually looking for new styles!
I am not really a Lady GaGa fan, but I really like this style. Not totally sure about the back with the comb, but that could be worked around. I can already picture an updo like this (particularly with the swoop bang) with my vintage 50s brocade sheath dress. Thanks for posting! Our hair is so cool… sculptural.
One of the most creative styles I’ve ever seen! I suppose it helped that I hadn’t seen the original hair bow by Gaga. Will have to try it! And the hair has a lovely sheen, beautiful!
Its really Cute! Will try this one!
Chescaleigh did this style for locs too. I’m personally not a fan of the style but it sure does look cute.
That was super-cute and innovative! I don’t usually blow-out my hair for anything (because it takes 2 hrs to blow out 10 inches of 4B hair!) but maybe I’ll tried this when I’m feeling adventurous.
This is exactly what I’m doing for my Gaga concert in Detroit tommorrow! I saw this tutorial after I already done a mini bow on accident for a wedding I was attending last week. The only difference is that I don’t blow dry my hair out.
OMG!!! Love it!! I wish I had somewhere to go this weekend because I would definitely try it!
I like it!! I just try it, my hair is a lil bit short but it’s cute!! ^^
i liked this tutorial. the style looked nice on you. your video was relaxing to watch
You’re welcome! :)
I freaking love, Toni! She’s so sweet & innovative with her styles. I’m so boring when it comes to my hair so I live vicariously through her :-D
Very creative!!! Love the versatility of natural hair :)
It pained me to watch this video and look at her balding edges. But i do love tutorials! like to see more of these
Rosie, I don’t see how it PAINED you, I mean I’m sure everyone can see them. It’s always some natural to point out stuff that is clearly unnecessary to point out and not your business. Her hair tutorial was great!
I must say I felt the same way about the edges, without being rude. I just felt like it was too much manipulation going on, pulling the hair back and brushing it. My edges are naturally thin, I try to avoid messing with those fragile strands. Liked the style, though. Won’t be copying it :)
Awesome! I just wish my hair was long enough…. =(
Thanks for posting this video, I tried it on my hair and I looooveee it, I posted pictures http://afrodandy.blogspot.com/2010/09/bow-tied.html
@joey – you are right, it is funny how it is only other naturals that feel the need to negatively make comments about my hair. Hmmm…
@maureen…without being rude, some people just seem to be a know it all. For those who follow my channel they would already know that my edges were a result of a chemical burn, the whole reason for going natural.
@rosie – if it pains you to watch…don’t
Tooooooo Cute I have to try also I love Gaga. :) thanks for the post
Im so late, but gosh ppl its JUST HAIR and she (Toni) has explained plenty of times about her edges, I feel no need to be a bully (& -dare I say it- a tad bit bitchy) and point out something thats of no importance to you. Toni I love your youtube channel and when my hair is long enough I’ll def be trying this. :-) can we all just be SUPPORTIVE? GEEEEESH
