Jared and I met at the University of Michigan our freshmen year in the cafeteria! We got married on July 17, 2010 in Nassau, Bahamas. We opted for a destination wedding because it was the perfect time to go on an extended vacation with only our closest family and friends. With a small budget, we had to be very creative with our planning and decor.
A good friend of ours and local NYC DJ arranged and mixed all of the music for our IPOD reception– including scratches and all! My husband and a close friend designed all of the place cards, programs, and signage that we placed in vintage frames picked up from the Brooklyn FLEA. We also DIY’d all of the paper fans that decorated the venue, the crossword puzzles that kept our guests entertained while waiting for the buffet, as well as, the tea bag favors that we gave as gifts. We used vintage buttons from my grandmother-in-law’s button jar for the paper fans. During the reception she pointed out a lovely half moon button on one of the fans. This button worn on the first coat she bought as a married woman. Very touching!
Everyone loved my hair at the wedding. Everyone loved the wedding. We just all had a blast. It was a lovely day, a lovely wedding, and I married a lovely man.

i’m pretty sure that they’re going to have hot babies!!
ow! ow!
