Chrisette Michele spiced up her TWA with some braid extensions that she pulled up into a high bun for the New York Premiere of Madea’s Witness Protection. Thought so too. She seems to be almost spilling out of the top! It goes well with the belt but I don’t think this is the right fit for her.And the destroyed jeans just look awful! She may have been going for a casual carefree look but this is poorly put together.

The bun alone would typically be okay but coupled with this lazy/sloppy outfit, it just makes the whole look seem worse.

chrisette has packed them on. i saw a youtube video of her and she just looked not very good. she looked like a grandmom from waist down.
she’s young, in the spotlight and should be looking her best or better. not skinny but certainly having a more youthful looking body, imo.
i just don’t like seeing overweight bw, esp. when they don’t have to be.
she’s pretty though.
Generally I find it rude to make unsolicited comments about a person’s weight, but I definitely think the unfortunate outfit is the result of a young woman struggling to dress a body she’s uncomfortable with. “Look at my breasts! Ignore the rest!” I’ve been there. (BTW, I’m seeing her with Ledisi & Eric Benet Friday night. Can’t wait!)

I agree she is definitely not looking as good as she has in the past. I hope she is okay and not going thru changes, either way hopefully she will get herself together. She is very pretty and I have seen her look much better, her weight fluctuates but either way she carried it well. This outfit does nothing for her!

I adore Chrisette Michele! I’ve seen her in concert and she has such a beautiful voice and spirit. I think her braided bun is cute and much more natural looking than the blonde hair (obviously).

I actually think the outfit would look better without the belt, and instead of the lighter washed distressed boyfriend looking jeans, some really dark wash skinny jeans or jeggings. But her face looks pretty and I like the shoes and braids

Chrisette Michele is indeed! That has been covered. I believe her braid bun looks lovely. That has been covered. The outfit choice? Not necessarily the best (albeit the harshness of other comments) that has been spoken of as well. So again, anything else would just be a overplayed repeat.
I think everyone is entitled to an “off” day… even celebrities. You don’t have to be GLAM all the time!

Agreed the snark and cattiness isn’t called for…because it isn’t what you say but HOW you present it. Love her braids I wish I can find someone to do mines :( but she has such a gorgeous face.
+ A Gazillion – she is a beautiful girl. Can’t/Won’t judge the outfit. I leave such things to the fashion police. As far as weight goes, no one knows whether she gained weight on purpose of if she is dealing with a personal issues. As long as she is healthy and happy with herself that is enough. She is extremely talented. God bless her.

I think she looks cute just to be stepping out to see a movie.. doesn’t have to be perfect. I bet if some skinny mini was rocking this look it would be acceptable and also her shape is great! she isn’t rockin like a muffin top or anything.. ppl can be so hateful.. they say your, your own worst critic.. wonder what you think of yourselves? smh
