A photoshoot is going viral, not just because it’s gorgeous, but because it represents Nigerian talent both in front of and behind the lens. The shoot is for Nigerian label Maju and it is a beautiful representation of West African fashion and a peek into what self-supporting black fashion looks like.

Images from the campaign were posted to Maju’s Instagram account, where credit was given to the creative team including director and stylist Fiolakemi Awobotu @fiolakemi_, makeup artist Anita Adetoye @anitabrows, photographer Daniel Sparx @danielsparx and models Powede Laurence @powedelawrence and Olamide Ogundele @olamideogundele.

  1. I think the Africans perfected the weave/wig look. Like this I get it. And the colors match skin perfecto. I would add natural relaxed hair and natural hair for the trifecta of Black beauty. Not all weaves, not all relax, not all natural.
