Alabama’s oldest private historically black college, Talladega College, has agreed to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration. Established in 1867, Talladega College was fully accredited in 2009 and has a student body of 1,500.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Friday that the Talladega College Marching Tornadoes was among 40 groups, including high school bands and military organizations, scheduled to perform in the parade.”

Needless to say the news isn’t going over too well.

Talladega College is not returning calls or emails seeking comment. Meanwhile Trump is stocking his cabinet with billionaires, Wall Street executives and white nationalist sympathizers. #godhelpus

I say let them play! It is an HONOR to be at a national event, and a presidential inauguration is no different.

That’s a tough call. I hope they do well anyway.

How about as a people we be proud that this historically black school has this opportunity. How are we going to bridge the gap on race relations by continually separating ourselves? How as a country are these issues going to be healed if we continue broadening the gap?
