Ok I think @samantha asked me about Natural hair shows. There is a website called mynaturalhairevents.com and it has a list of all the different hair shows going on around the world. I will be posting on a regular basis to let you know whats all going on in the natural hair world! In the event that you check this website out please post under this forum and let us know as well what hair events are going on!

lol nooo its not that! Yours is not the only one though! If you subscribe to it it will email you and tell you when you are mentioned or something thats what I had to do because I stopped getting the mentions too! It would notify me up top but now it doesnt. Anyways thats the only event thats coming up in your state soon other than that I will be on the look out for you for other hair shows and stuff! @samantha

I feel better now lol..yes hopefully there will be a few more by the summertime…I really just want an event that has several vendors because the last time I got some ridiculous deals at the jane carter table and some awesome shirts..lol swaaaag addicition

@briar …..I'm not sure what I was expecting but it left a lot to be desired. The wait to get in was long which was only made worse by the fact that it was freezing outside. Inside the event, it was crowded as to be expected but that didn't bother me. It was more of a club feel. Curly Nikki was really nice, down to earth and super approachable (at the end when the crowd got thinner it was easier to talk to her). In terms of the product presentation, they had a style booth with stylist doing hair (I think the folks were models they brought in) and other than that, the product educator said a few words, they played a commercial and that was it. No real explanation about the products in the line. There was an open bar but the drinks were not very good and the "samples" that they gave out at the end were those sample backs you get at the BSS that has like 0.5oz of product in them. So all in all I wasn't impressed.

@CANDACEBRIONNE I live an hour away from Los Angeles, so anything in LA would be awesome! I've driven out there just to get a piercing so I know I would drive out there for an event!
@Jodi-Ann P Interesting. A lot of the events say they give out some samples but I thought they would be of up and coming natural brands that don't get a lot of circulation, helping out our young entrepreneurs and such. Well my hope was to go to an event, and meet other woman who are excited about becoming and being natural, and share tips and such. Get away from those "uppity" naturals I have in abundance at my school

@briar this event was a product launch so I wasn't expecting vendors or anything like that. I do want to go to a hair show like that sometime soon where I can get products and other natural hair stuff. Hopefully in the summer though. It's too cold to be standing on line for 30-40 mins.

Hey ladies there are 2 natural hair shows coming up in Houston, Tx and 1 coming on the 28th and 29th in Galveston Tx! I plan on going to one of them! I will post more information on them as soon as I get back to my classroom in a little while!
