Hey guys. I'm in need of some shampoo recommendations. At 2 years natural I still haven't found a shampoo that can clarify my hair without turning it into straw. Do you guys have any suggestions? What do you use and why do you like it?

I tried the Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo. I got it from a woman that I work with to try and it didn't dry out my hair.

all I can be is napturally me!

thanks for the suggestions ladies. I want to try a cleansing cream of some sort. I think that might work best for me because I genuinely hate the way my hair feels after a shampoo session. Have any of you heard of or tried any cleansing creams with good reputations that really does cleanse the scalp and hair without being as stripping as shampoo?

I have heard a lot of good things about the Loreal Evercurl/style cleansing creams. In fact I have one in my room somewhere that I am saving for a rainy day. When I use it I will let you know, but the fact that it is 6 dollars for that little pump bottle worries me….I hope it isn't thick because I tend to be very heavy ha

@Jodi-Ann P Have you already tried just a pure co-washing regiment?

The best non drying clarifying shampoo I've tried so far is Terressentials mud wash. It is absolutely amazing, and is infused with copious amounts of essential oils.  Highly recommended!

@briar …no I haven't tried a strictly co-washing regimen. I'm pretty heavy handed when it comes to products to moisturize and style and so I need something that can clear that all away.

@EclecticSarah …..lately I've been really thinking that a mud wash/clay wash is my best bet. They are natural, not harsh like shampoos are and clean the scalp and hair. I think the Terressentials would be a good investment instead of me trying to mix my own mud/clay wash.

@Jodi-Ann P have you looked into shampoo bars? alot of naturals swear by it as being cleansing and uber moisturizing

@crist_lite …I've tried shampoo bars in the past but haven't tried one in a while so I'm not sure how it would work on my hair now. Hopefully there'll be one in my Curlkit next month that I can try. If I don't find one I like, I think I'm going to give the clay a try as a shampoo/conditioning treatment.

a shampoo bar showing up in your curlkit would be perfect, i'll be staying tune to find out whats in there..but yeah let us know what you think of a clay wash, i've tried the terressentials mud wash and it was amazing but then i bought some bentonite clay to make my own cheaper version and it was just okay but i wish you the best with your experience
