Alright ladies, let's get an inspirational thread going!
We used to have this series on BGLH called "Now and Then" that was very popular, and I want to bring it back! Basically just post photos of your hair before and after going natural!! Let's see those transformations :)

Before: I changed my hair color very often. The green was maybe 2 months before I shaved it off.
After: I will be two years natural in March

I began cutting the relaxed off as it grew. Then on 10/21/2012 (above) I grew frustrated && just cut it off!

Love this thread…so encouraging to see all these beautiful women embracing their natural tresses. I BC'd in March 2012 and am only now beginning to understand my hair…loving the journey!

@EricaTheDesigner any plans for color now?!
I'm not too sure @crist_lite I've always gotten it done professionally and that was very costly. From what I've researched so far just getting a hair cut in a natural salon would be more than I had ever paid for color and a cut. I'm also considering waiting for more length before I experiment.

Everyone's pictures are so amazing!!! I love this thread!
I big chopped in 2011. This is my hair before (I had a hair cut right before I BC'd but this is how my hair looked before that)
And uhhh yes, I really like Star Wars lol

And these pictures were taken last month (January 2013) Can you say shrinkage!? lol! But my hair is longer now than it was before, and more importantly, healthier!

@CANDACEBRIONNE thank you!! none of those are really my completely unmanipulated curl pattern tho. the frohawk pic is a very old, picked out twist out, the second pic is a blow out and the third is a braid out. so you probably can get your hair to look similar!

i just had to join this! I love seeing inspiration! Other natural beauties inspired me to go natural about 3 years ago. My last relaxer was September 2009 and big chopped April 2010. SO the first picture is of my creamy crack days, and the after is a recent picture of my natural hair and flat ironed natural hair! I finally have healthy hair that so happens to be long! It's been a lovely journey!
